					<description>Hi, Joe:
Just wanted to follow up your comments about Frederick Hart's imagery at Washington National Cathedral. Maybe you would like to see the exhibit at the University of Louisville "Giving Form to Spirit" (September 6 - November 18, 2007). It is an amazing tribute to Frederick Hart, and the vision of university president James Ramsey and Louisville mayor Jerry Abramson to bring to America's heartland an exhibit of work by an artist who believed in beauty, truth and goodness. This is a story about a university - winner of the 2007 Orange Bowl - that wants its students to know about more than sports. The school has embraced the work and philosophy of Frederick Hart and wrapped its arms around the entire community of Louisville, giving the city a new ballet and new music for the symphony, inspired by Hart's work, and fall classes in humanities, theater, music, philosophy, political science and fine arts, centered on Hart's philosophy. Even the university athletes are involved in this exhibition - hefty guys helping to install life-size works in bronze. This is an exciting event created by a university president, mayor, and university supporters, in an attempt to unite a community known for horses and baseball bats behind an art exhibition. Please come visit!

Cordially regards,

<description>[...] Joe Carter at Evangelical Outpost writes on &#8220;What Color Should Jesus Be?&#8221; citing Andy Jackson&#8217;s post on SmartChristian.com about a sermon from John Piper, &#8220;What do you think of pictures of Jesus?&#8221; It&#8217;s a great discussion, and I will weigh in when a new piece of mine on depictions of Jesus comes out. <description>[...] The Iconia blog recently interviewed Joe Carter about art and Christianity. It&#8217;s a good discussion, touching on topics ranging from the Second Commandment&#8217;s prohibition of idolatry to the &#8220;Chocolate Jesus&#8221; kerfuffle a few weeks back.
